Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 18.10.2026

At Talk Branch, accessible from https://talkbranch.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by Talk Branch and how we use it.

1. Log Files

Server logs may include request paths, IP addresses, connection and account identifiers, and login-email delivery metadata. These records may be linked to your account.

2. Browser Storage

Talk Branch stores your account access key and preferences in your browser so you can resume your session and keep your settings. You can clear saved data in your browser settings. Signing out removes the saved key and asks other open Talk Branch tabs in this browser to sign out. Those tabs clear their sessions as they process the notice. If browser storage is unavailable, only this tab can be signed out; close other tabs yourself. To end every saved session, choose Sign out of all devices in your account settings. This also signs out other devices.

3. Advertising

Talk Branch currently runs no third-party advertising or advertising measurement scripts. A fixed header slot is reserved for possible future user advertising. It is currently empty.

4. Children's Information

We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you think that your child provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately and we will do our best to promptly remove such information.

5. Services We Use

We send discussion messages, displayed names, and earlier summaries to an external AI service to create discussion summaries. Direct messages are not used for these summaries.

Sign-in services. When you sign in with email, a security check from Cloudflare runs in your browser to block automated sign-ins. Talk Branch sends the check's result, and for some connections your IP address, to Cloudflare to confirm it. Your email address and login code are sent to an email delivery service so the code can reach you.

6. Message and Account Deletion

You can delete your account from your account settings. If your account has been banned, use your saved session or verify your email to open the deletion notice and choose Delete my account. If you cannot access either, contact support. Deletion removes your account credentials and email, your messages, inbox items, and personal links. It may take time to finish. Discussion summaries and aggregate discussion results may remain, including text derived from your contributions. Summaries are not rewritten when an account is deleted.

Removing a message, including removal by a moderator, or deleting an account also clears reply quotes and notification previews that can be linked to your original messages. Cleanup may take time and continues automatically if interrupted. Discussion summaries are not rewritten when a message is removed and may still include information derived from it. Other people's reply text remains. Older previews whose original messages were already removed may no longer be identifiable and may remain. Copies saved outside Talk Branch are not affected.

Deleting a banned account removes your profile, messages, inbox items, and connections. We keep only a one-way fingerprint of its email address, so the same address cannot be used to create a new account.

Notifications in your inbox are removed automatically after 60 days. Login codes expire after 10 minutes.
